John Holroyd and Company received the Queen's Award for Technological Innovation in respect of their Milling Machines and related equipment for the production of screw type helical rotors in 1967.
Jones & Shipman received an MWP Gold Award from Metalwork Production Magazine in 1992 for the advanced CNC programming technology incorporated into its range of cylindrical grinders.
The prestigious Queen's Award for Technological Achievement was awarded to Holroyd in 1993, for the design and development of their new range of CNC Cutter Grinding machines.
In 1998 Jones & Shipman received a further MWP gold award for the revolutionary design of its Dominator Surface, Profile and Creepfeed grinder with its capability to grind in 3 dimensions.
In 2004 Holroyd win for the third time the Queens Award, this time for Enterprise in the Innovation section, being singled out for two machines it developed for high accuracy thread and gear grinding.
