What is GrindTec?

GrindTec is the leading global exhibition for grinding technologies. Located in Augsburg, Germany, the event has been running biannually since 1998, growing in size and attendance year-on-year. With over 37,000 square metres of exhibition space spanning over 5 floors – this year’s exhibition will be the biggest GrindTec event in history.

The theme of GrindTec 2014 is to provide solutions to the main challenges in the sector. Pressing issues will be addressed such as how to improve efficiency through performing numerous manufacturing processes on one machine and how manufacturers can cope with smaller production batches whilst keeping production economically viable.

This year, over 515 companies from 29 countries will be exhibiting at the event, showcasing the latest developments and innovations in grinding machines and tool machining systems. In addition, GrindTec 2014 will see a number of research institutions as well as vocational and educational institutes attending the event.

GrindTec Visitor Profile

Visitors to the GrindTec exhibition are predominantly management level grinding technology experts with the decision-making authority to steer their organisations on future capital investments.

Furthermore, 44% of visitors to GrindTec 2012 stated that they don’t visit any other trade show with the same range of exhibits making GrindTec a must-attend event for the leading global grinding technology companies.

GTG2 Helical Gear Grinding Machine

The GTG2 helical gear grinder sets new standards in the production of ultra-precise gears in diameters of up to 350mm.

Effectively a self-contained production cell within a single machine, the GTG2 offers fast set-up to optimise production and minimise operating costs, fully automatic programmable cycles, a fully automatic grinding wheel balancing system and the high power required for deep grinding operations. The GTG2 offers uncompromising levels of precision finish (approaching DIN3).

Holroyd Precision at GrindTec 2014

Visitors to Booth 2133, in Hall 2 at GrindTec, will be able to discover the full capabilities of the Zenith 400 helical profile grinder, as well as the GTG2 gear-grinding centre. Both machines are built in the UK by Precision Technologies Group company, Holroyd Precision Limited.
