With that in mind, we have created the CS500E (500 mm maximum diameter) and the CS700E (700 mm maximum diameter) cutting tool management centres.

Designed to grind high-accuracy profile forms on finish milling cutters, CS Series machines enable manufacturers of small, medium and large diameter mill-finished helical components to achieve greater levels of precision and repeatability by providing complete control of all aspects of the cutting tools used.

Both CS Series machines produce high-accuracy profile forms on a wide range of materials, from traditional high-speed steel to harder materials including carbide, as well as cermet-finish machining systems.

Both machines also benefit from a ‘closed-loop’ probing system that ensures each blade is ground to the correct cutting tool profile within 2 to 3 microns of accuracy. They are equipped to condition CBN and diamond grinding wheels, while the use of HSK-A160 arbors enables rapid wheel changeover times and further enhances accuracy.
